Abert's squirrel or the tassel-eared squirrel is a tree squirrel that Wendy often spots while hiking Fowler Goshawk Ridge near Eldorado Springs in South Boulder. In fact she spotted at least 4 Abert's that beautiful October day. Luckily there was a reprieve from the irritating wildfire smoke since the wind was blowing from the southeast, a most welcome circumstance!
