Dr. Astrid Maute is a Project Scientist in the High Altitude Observatory at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. Her focus is the numerical modeling of ionospheric electrodynamics, ionospheric current systems and their associated magnetic perturbations.
Dr. Maute studies the upper atmosphere response due to metrological and geospace forcing, and is interested in the high-latitude magnetosphere-ionosphere energgy transfer.
