GNSS network observation of traveling ionospheric disturbances over China In recent years, we used the dense GNSS networks of China to observe the propagation properties of traveling ionosphere disturbances at middle and low latitudes. A comparative study of the climatology of large-scale traveling ionospheric disturbances (LSTIDs) over North America and China was conducted. We identified LSTIDs with different prevailing propagation directions, and discussed the influence of magnetic conditions and background ionosphere variations on the long-term variation of LSTIDs; Using the dense GPS networks in China, we studied the temporal variations and spatial structures of medium scale traveling ionosphere disturbances excited by some local sources such as the rocket launch, and earthquake, and the blast and movement of meteorite.
