On Wednesday, 27 July, a memorial service was held at the Mesa Lab for Vic Tisone. Vic’s family, friends, and colleagues walked through the breezeway onto the Mesa Lab's generously shaded tree plaza and the blazing-hot summer heat was suddenly forgotten. As a refreshing breeze blew across the crowded plaza, Ron Lull stood at the lectern to give a heart-felt accounting of how he first met Vic while working together at HAO and of his growing affection and respect for a man that he came to know as a very special and wonderful human being. Following Ron’s tribute, many others shared similarly fond stories of their encounters with Vic. Vic has touched so many lives and will be remembered by many. Photographs by Stan Solomon.
