Dr. David Afonso Delgado is currently an Advanced Study Postdoctoral fellow at NCAR/HAO. While researching his thesis, he specialized in the theoretical modeling of the polarization signals of spectral lines. David's main area of interest is studying the spectral lines observed in the ultraviolet spectrum of the Sun. By studying the polarization signals of these lines, we can develop new methods to probe the magnetism of the upper layers of the solar chromosphere.
