Marc Cotter is an Associate Scientist in the High Altitude Observatory working at the Mauna Loa Solar Observatory on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Marc is a member of a team of observers responsible for the daily operations of the Mauna Loa Solar Observatory located at 11,200’ elevation on the volcano of Mauna Loa. His duties include the operation and maintenance of the Coronal Multi-Channel Polarimeter (CoMP) and the Coronal Solar Magnetism Observatory K-Coronagraph (K-COR) instruments. In addition to these duties Marc assists and supports with the work of the Global Oscillation Network Group (GONG) located on Mauna Loa in Hawaii.
