2015-02-12: Active Prominence
An active prominence rises and twists over the northeast limb of Sun reaching a height of ~1.25 solar radii. There is a K-Cor data gap between 23:16 and 23:52 UT during which time the altitude of the prominence dramatically decreases. This very active prominence was also visible in the NASA SDO AIA instrument. No coronal mass ejection (CME) was seen with this activity. This movie was made from K-Cor images at a 5-minute time cadence. KCor data are available at 15 second cadence from the Mauna Loa web page.
K-Cor Movie times: 18:25 to 02:30 UT
