CME with Possible Disconnection

2020/05/09

Time span of event: 2020-05-09 17:30 UT to 20:47 UT

A faint elongated CME loop/cavity with prominence core is visible in Mauna Loa K-Cor observations at ~240 degrees PA. The CME moves non-radially (equatorward). Prominence material appears to disconnect. Material above apparent disconnection point is ejected and material below falls sunward.

The apparent reconnection/disconnection site is best seen in the 19:03:24 subtraction image at 1.20 Rsun at 243.1 degrees PA.
