About the Speaker
Vishal Ray is a Senior Astrodynamics Engineer at Kayhan Space. At Kayhan, Vishal is heavily involved in algorithmic development for conjunction assessment, collision avoidance, and orbit determination and prediction. He is also working with the Space Weather Technology, Research and Education Center (SWx-TREC) at the University of Colorado Boulder in extracting neutral densities using tracking data from commercial satellites. He completed his PhD in Aerospace Engineering and Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder, funded by the NASA FINESST grant. His dissertation focused on developing improved atmospheric drag models that tracked the variation of the drag-coefficient in orbit.
