The Spectro-Polarimeter on board Hinode is a slit-scanning spectrograph with full polarimetric capabilities that observes the Solar Photosphere at high spatial resolution in a seeing-free environment.

The Visible Spectro-Polarimeter

ViSP, the Visible Spectro-Polarimter for the Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope (DKIST), is an instrument designed to study the emergence, evolution and decay of magnetic flux in the Sun's atmosphere, and the dynamics of Solar magnetic structures.
